Note: Event categorization is set up as part of a configuration in WatchGuard Evidence Library software.
You use the Display Backlight button to select a category to apply to a recorded event. The Display Backlight button is on the right side as you look at the front of the VISTA, VISTA WiFi, or VISTA XLT DVR.
When you stop an event, if the camera is configured to require categorization, the display immediately prompts you to select an event category.
Note: If your VISTA WiFi or VISTA XLT is a member of a recording group, the camera can automatically accept an event category from the 4RE DVR group member in certain scenarios. For more information, see the VISTA HD Wearable Camera User Guide.
To categorize an event:
- Press a Record Start/Stop button to stop an event.
The display shows the Category prompt. - Press and release the Display Backlight button as many times as needed to move through the list of available categories, one at a time.
- Press and hold the Display Backlight button for at least 2 seconds when the category you want to select shows on the display.
The display reads SAVED and shows which category you selected.
